TFETP stands for
the Taiwan Foreign English Teacher Program, a government-sponsored
initiative by Taiwan's Ministry of Education

Taiwan will induct more than
2000 teachers to teach English in 2026 through this single program there many other Govt sponsored programs.
Tentative date for applications
– start January 1st 2026 via official portal
Qualification: Bachelor degree
+ TEFL (Teaching English as a foreign language) Certificate (mandatory for 25
countries – including Pakistan)
Salary US $2200/- to 3000/ per
month. Free ticket, accommodation and health
insurance.
There are two options to apply
TYPE A. State issued Teaching License/Certificate or proof of qualification
TYPE
B. Teaching qualification using TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)
certification.

Should
the teaching license/certificate or proof of qualification originate from the
25 countries as stated below, license/certificate authentication by the R.O.C.
embassies and missions in the issuing nation is required (25 countries include
Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh,
Bhutan, Myanmar, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cuba, Ghana, Iraq, Laos, Nepal, Niger,
Nigeria, Pakistan,
Senegal, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia
and Indonesia.
Note: I contacted all the available relevant offices, even in Saudi Arabia and Taiwan. Unfortunately there was no positive response for documents authentication. ( I humbly request all teachers from Pakistan, if they have a different experience to share in the comments for all to benefit.)
Unfortunately PAKISTANI’s are only left with the second option.
Type
B. Teaching qualification using TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)
certification.
Accompanied by a
transcript of records and summary table (available for download from the
official website) or from grab it from mrsambreen9@gmail.com that includes a
PRACTICUM or internship component.
The program should
cover English language teaching methods, teaching assessment, introduction to
second language, and trial teaching (20-hour PRACTICUM). TEFL
Diploma/Certificate should have a minimum duration of 120 hours.
Please note that the
certificate must not be fully online but may be hybrid or add a separate
PRACTICUM preferably in Pakistan.
Do
not forget to upload the Summary form. It is mandatory to upload this most
important form otherwise your application may not be considered.
