You will apply to the Nursing Community Assessment
Service ("NCAS"). NCAS is a department of the BC College of Nurses
and Midwives ("BCCNM"). More information about NCAS is available at https://www.ncasbc.ca/.
Becoming a nurse in BC means you'll have to follow a few key
steps, starting with NCAS! Information on each of these steps can be found
throughout our website. You can do many of these steps at the same time. Here's
a simple checklist.
- Create
your NCAS online services account
- Complete
an NCAS Application Form
- Upload
your identification documents to your online services
account
- Your ID or Passport copy duly certified as true copy. Example here.
- Apply
to the Regulator Internationally-educated nurses (bccnm.ca)
- Apply to government to have your fees waived by emailing
- info@nursingjobsbc.ca.
( The new funding ( bursary) for
IEN nurses by the BC Canada Govt.)
- Apply
to have your education credential documents assessed
- Submit
proof of your English Language Skill
- If you
are applying to the BC Care Aide &
Community Health Worker Registry, you will need do this
once you complete your competency assessment with NCAS
