You will apply to the Nursing Community Assessment Service ("NCAS"). NCAS is a department of the BC College of Nurses and Midwives ("BCCNM"). More information about NCAS is available at https://www.ncasbc.ca/.

Becoming a nurse in BC means you'll have to follow a few key steps, starting with NCAS! Information on each of these steps can be found throughout our website. You can do many of these steps at the same time. Here's a simple checklist.

• Complete an NCAS ​Application Fo​rm

• Upload your identification documents to your online services ​ account
• Your ID or Passport copy duly certified as true copy. Example here.

• Apply to the Regulator Internationally-educated nurses (bccnm.ca)

• Apply to government to have your fees waived by emailing
•  inf​o@nursingjobsbc.ca.

• If you are applying to the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry​, you will need do this once you complete your competency ​assessment​ with NCAS
