Welcome to the Taiwan Foreign English Teacher Program
(TFETP)
TFETP was launched by the Ministry of Education (MOE) to
recruit foreign English teachers and teaching assistants to create more
opportunities for Taiwanese students to learn English in schools nationwide.
Prior to TFETP, the MOE established the Foreign English
Teachers Program (FET Program) in 2004 to assist local governments in
recruiting foreign English teachers for public elementary and secondary
schools. The FET Program was expanded into the TFETP in 2021 to recruit more
teaching talent in order to enhance the English skills of Taiwanese students.
